What is ITI?

Industrial Training Institute (ITI) is a government Organization that aims at providing information, training and courses associated with Industries to high school students.

Anyone can go for an ITI degree after his/her 8^th, 10^th or 12^th Standards. An ITI course is proficient enough to build a highly skilled workforce in technical as well as non-technical Fields with expertise that opens the path to earning opportunities right after 10^th or 12^th class.

The Agenda of the ITIs is to help students either in getting the perfect job for them and their abilities or help them build their own startup or small-scale business. The ITIs achieve their goal by providing students with the competent course that they call ‘Trades’.

The Courses or so called Trades ranges from Engineering course that deals with the machineries, digital medium and other specific machine related stuffs to Self-improvement types such as Vocational trades that help them secure a job at the end of a course.

The duration of an ITI course may range from six months to two years depending upon the type of course and its application in the industry.

THE ORIGIN OF ITI

With Great pride and pledge India launched ITIs with a base line mission of fulfilling the demands of Industries in private and public sector but in the current scenario it is the key to many jobs in Government sector such as Railways, Navy, Airforce, Irrigation, PWD, Vocational Educational Department and hundreds of live jobs which are discussed below.

In 1950 INDUSTRIAL TRAINING INSTITURES were established by the Directorate General for Employment and Training (DGET) under the supervision of Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship of India which currently owns the ITIs.

India is embedded with a satisfactory number of Government as well as Private it is. They all give rise to a large number of skilled workforce every year. As per now India has 3,106 Govt. ITI colleges and these colleges are considered as the best ITI due to Low fees, free stuffs, scholarship and many other government support.

Government ITIs are operating in every state of India giving education and training to Lakhs of people throughout the country.
