Establishment

Ganesh Lal Agarwal college is a constituent unit of Nilambar Pitambar University. It is one of the oldest and most effectively developing colleges in Jharkhand. It is in service of providing quality higher education for the last 68 years. GLA was established in 1954 as a constituent unit of Ranchi University but after the establishment of Nilambar-Pitambar University, it became a part of it.

Admission process and Eligibility Criteria

The admission process in GLA its eligibility criteria may vary from course to course. But in most cases the admission is merit-based. Merit-Based admission means that after applying a merit( or selection) list is made for all the students on the basis of the marks acquired in their last class. A brief of the admission process is given below:-

Admission Process and Stages –

1. Registration to the Official chancellor portal – Chancellor portal facilitates students to submit their last class details. These details include marks acquired, Year of passing, Student details, and other general documents and proofs. (Charges may be applied)
2. Development of the Merit list – A merit list is developed on the basis of marks acquired by different students. This merit list is specific to courses as well as it gives preference to socially reserved students.
3. Offline verification of documents – All the necessary documents of the selected students are verified at the university for any error or duplication. Once verified, the student’s profile is forwarded for payment process.
4. The payment process by the students – Once the student’s profile and documents are verified the student can make a payment for the registration to the college. The payment charges may vary from course to course.
5. The last process of getting a roll number – After all this process the student needs to get his roll number from the college.
